Orca

Orca is an English and French animation studio led by a husband and wife team Nelly Michenaud and Ed Bulmer. Ed and Nelly met nearly 10 years ago at the National Film and Television School and have been collaborating ever since, uniting a love for storytelling, traditional hand drawn animation and the exploration of new aesthetics and techniques. Blending hand-drawn craft with slick digital techniques, they create bold, story-first work across 2D, live action, CGI, motion graphics, and more.

With a playful, cinematic approach and a love for all things mixed media, Orca builds worlds that feel personal, vibrant, and unmistakably theirs. Clients include Netflix, HBO, BBC, Disney+, Deliveroo and GQ, with their short films screening at SXSW, SICAF, and beyond.
