Shay Hamias & Yael Biran

Yael and Shay have been true collaborators for over 10 years, each has a strength and wealth of experience. Yael is the storyteller, who effortlessly animates and gives life to the characters and creates their own individual stories, and Shay is the designer who illustrates and invents their worlds. Together they carefully craft ideas and environments that enrich every creative brief and bring to life only the most visually pleasing moving image. 

Yael studied animation with the renowned British animator Joanna Queen and Shay is a NFTS graduate. Shay is one of NERD’s proud diversity and inclusion champions, a creative director that helps us constantly seek, nurture and empower young talent and talent from non-traditional backgrounds. 

They will always bring a curious and imaginative approach to any project along with their unique, diverse range of animation techniques and styles. 

They have successfully brought to life projects for Dream Works, BBC, HBO, M&C Saatchi, Adam & Eve and many more. Notable awards include: D&AD, Promax, British Animation Award, Clio, LIAA, New York Festivals to name a few.
