Kulay Labitigan is a Creative Talesmith telling stories through the medium of illustration, experience, and narrative design.
Growing up in the tropics, his vibrant and kaleidoscopic image-making are happy allusions to his sunny childhood in the rural province as well as a Southeast Asian gay man living in London. This dynamic relationship of people, places, and anecdotes inspire him to continuously explore how narrative and play could inspire human creativity. His artistic practice is a grateful rumination of how personal history informs the experience of growing, belonging, and blending to the idea of a home. His work celebrates people, their diverse stories, backgrounds, victories, and experiences in a vivid and layered fashion.
Specialising in applied storytelling, he worked with independent and commercial brands such as BT, Microsoft, O2, London City Airport, Oakley, Vodafone, Facebook, and Moleskine to name a few. Presently, he is busy learning the art of keeping houseplants alive whilst searching for the best gelato in town.
